File No. 101112

The newest Reverse Tractor Tug to be added to Crescent Towing’s fleet is nearing completion. The 96′ x 34′ Z-drive vessel designed by Jensen Maritime Consultants, Inc. (JMC) is being constructed at Bollinger Shipyards. The vessel is powered by twin 2000-hp Caterpillar 3516 diesels with Ulstein 1650 Z-drives. Two 90-kW Caterpillar 3304 generators sets provide electrical power. The tug will be ABS load lined.

The owners worked closely with the designers to create a vessel that supports all the functions assigned to a contemporary tug. The design incorporates such details as a 2,000 gpm fire monitor and an AFFF foam system. The wheelhouse has exceptional visibility providing both a 360-degree view and a clear view of the tow winch. Below deck, there is tank capacity for 50,000 gallons of fuel and 5,000 gallons of fresh water. This vessel represents the 18th tractor tug designed by Jensen Maritime Consultants in recent years.
