SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER

JENSEN MARITIME CONSULTANTS, INC., a Crowley Company, is accepting applications to fill a Senior Mechanical Engineering position.  Jensen Maritime, a Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering company located in Seattle, Washington, offers a diverse range of services to the marine industry.

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Vessel component design
• Vessel system design
• Mechanical / Structural engineering tasks
• Performing shipyard and shipboard surveys
• Managing communications with clients and peers.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree
• Some experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office
• Experience with various engineering software is a plus (finite element analysis, power prediction, pipe flow / pressure drop calculations, etc.)
• EIT Certification
• Registered in Washington State as a Professional Engineer
• Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
• Candidates should be motivated, professional, and able to work on their own as well as in project groups
• Must be able to prove legal working status in the United States
