JUNIOR NAVAL ARCHITECT

JENSEN MARITIME CONSULTANTS, INC., a Crowley Company, is accepting applications to fill a Junior Naval Architect position.  Jensen Maritime, a Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering company located in Seattle, Washington, offers a diverse range of services to the marine industry.

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Vessel stability analysis
• Structural engineering tasks
• Performing shipyard and shipboard surveys
• Performing shipboard stability tests
• Managing communications with clients and peers.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Naval Architecture, or equivalent degree
• Some experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office
• Experience with hydrostatic software (GHS) is required
• Experience with engineering software is a plus (power prediction, CFD, FEA, etc.)
• EIT Certification is a plus
• Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
• Candidates should be motivated, professional, and able to work on their own as well as in project groups
• Must be able to prove legal working status in the United States
